Reviews and Ratings
The hotel room was very spacious with a Super King bed, sofa, armchair, and footstool, which was useful but smaller than shown in photos. The service was friendly and very helpful, especially towards our small children. The location was excellent, within walking distance to the public beach area, restaurants, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Cannery Row. The dining experience offered a large assortment of items but was buffet-style, which might not be convenient for everyone.
The hotel is well-priced for what it offers, with clean rooms that, although on the smaller side, provide a decent stay. The service was formal and accommodating, with a great fitness center and attractive fireplaces by the pool. The location is excellent, within walking distance to various attractions, although the rooms could use some updates. The dining options were somewhat overpriced, offering either buffet-style or cooked-to-order meals. Despite a few hiccups, the hotel is a convenient base in the Monterey area.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and warm with a good selection of TV channels. However, they looked out onto a road, offering no views at all. The service was nice and helpful, recommending places for us. The location was near all that the Monterey area has to offer in a convenient setting. The dining experience was available with continental options, though a bit pricey. The facilities were satisfactory.
